Mavera offers a decision support system, Mavera DSS, where claims handlers from Mavera's customers may register cases.

Within a case they can create evaluations and in an evaluation they can upload documentation and write the questions that they want answered by a medical advisor within the chosen expertise area. In some cases, more than one evaluation may be needed from one or more expertise areas.

You can reach Mavera DSS through www.mavera.com where you click on "Log in" in the top right corner. After providing user name and password you will receive a code by sms that you need to provide in order to log in.

When you receive a new evaluation or there is a message or another update in an evaluation, you will receive a notification e-mail (unless you have opted out from notification e-mails in your settings). In the notification e-mail there is a link to the new evaluation / evaluation with updates. When clicking this link, you will be directed directly to the case with the evaluation after logging in.

Below you will find some guidance on how to navigate in Mavera DSS.

1. With this button you may hide/show the menu. It can be of good use in the case/evaluation-view to give more space to the case information.

2. Under "Cases" you will find the cases where you are involved, categorized by evaluation status. If an evaluation has been selected for manual quality control and there is a comment for you from Mavera's quality assurance team, then the evaluation is sent back to you for review. A box called "Review" will appear in the "Cases"-menu if you have any evaluations sent back from the quality assurance team to look at.

3. On "My pages" you will enter your information and upload your documentation. This is also where you enter information if you will not be available for a period, for example if you go on vacation. We recommend that you set unavailability one day earlier than your actual absence starts to give you time to finish your started evaluations before you leave.

4. In the "News"-section, Mavera will publish news or information.

5. In the "Updates"-section, Mavera will publish information about updates in Mavera DSS.

6. On the "Contact"-page you will find contact info to Mavera support.

7. In the search field you can search on case number. Note that you must include space, hifen, dots and commas if the case number includes this. When you place the mouse over the search field, without clicking, a blue icon appears. If you click this icon you will be directed to the extended search page where you can search on additional search parameters.

8. Click the round circle with either your profile picture or your initials to change language and log out.

9. The evaluation status gives you quick information of which state the evaluation is in what needs to be done. The statuses you will come in contact with are:

Assigned: A new evaluation is assigned to you. Your handling days start counting.

Pending case: You have opened the evaluation and the claims handler can no longer recall the evaluation. If they have missed to include something, they will need to request that you ask for a supplementation. Mavera support staff can always recall an evaluation if needed.

Complement requested: You have asked for a supplementation from the claims handler, perhaps there was a journal missing or the questions are unclear. You will find the evaluations with this status in the "Awaiting supplementation"-box in the case-menu. You can read more about requesting supplementation here

Complement answered: The claims handler has responded to your request for supplementation. If you have the documentation you need then you can proceed with the evaluation. If you are still missing something, then you can request supplementation again.

Signed: You have finished the evaluation and signed it. You will find signed evaluations in the cases menu to the left but you cannot see the attached files after signing.

Clarification requested: The claims handler has asked for a clarification of something in the evaluation and is waiting for an update from you. You can read more about clarifications here

Sign revoked: you have opened the evaluation after the claims handler has requested a clarification.

Clarification answered: you have answered the clarification and signed the evaluation again.
